Assessment #3

Over the last 10 to 12 weeks we have covered alot in mpi104 from signing up to flickr and delicious to understanding how rss feeds work and how to start them up I have enjoyed this subject knowing a bit already about how html works and coding I found it a very good refresh on some of the basic things which from time to time we all need a bit of refreshment although to my own fault I became a bit to relaxed with the weekly activities but alas I can start to smell the holidays they are so close so to who ever reads this enjoy what you are doing and live long and prosper.

So being a gamer I find myself using so much of my free time playing games I guess it's the competitive side of me that is tucked away deep down inside after spending and trying most mmorpg's available out there including spending over 1300+ hours on world of warcraft my current guilty pleasure is League of legends and everything that goes alone with it including a 24 hour stream that i regularly check out when I am either not playing a game or just for back ground noise it is well worth a look at

Assessment #2

For this assessment we had to make a very simple website using iweb I tried to make it as though it a mini portfolio/display of some of my photography that I have done over the last couple of years having exprience from already using other programs such as Dreamweaver, iweb I think would of been a much better program to start in but it doesn't have much room to be fully creative with the layout of the site although having the program render slide show for you is pretty neat.

What have we done thus far in mpi104?

New Gmail the first things was signing upto a new g mail account so we can link all our accounts into the one account instead of having lost of different account names and passwords while trying to remember the passwaords to them all.

There has been many things we have completed lets start with blogger the start of many more accounts to be created, http://jasonschoenfeld-mpi104.blogspot.com in it's simple form it's just a blog that is customisable in many ways. Changes I have played in mine are the text colour and font, background images and outlay of the blog that is more visually pleasing to your eyeballs.

At the moment I have 7 photo's in my photo stream photography has always been something I have been interested in 3 of my favourites are
Spider Eating This one was by chance when shooting for an assessment it and intrigued me and my fascination for spiders.

Can While shooting again for an assessment I found a thrown away can and stood it up I like it because its simple.

Beach While down in Geelong the overcast sky and beach setting just looked so good not to shoot it and it turned out fairly well.

Favourite places to procrastinate.

The internet is an endless source of procrastination from youtube to facebook but here are just a few that I enjoy to waste time on while taking a break or just searching for inspiration.

SXC - No it's not some dodgy porn site it's a hungarian stock photo site that is a wealth of inspiration and high quality photo's.

Cyanide & happiness - It's hard not to stop reading once you start.

Cracked - A sketch comedy site that is of actual high production value.

College Humor - This pretty much is a must given.

Some things may never change.

Some things may never change here I am again doing an assessment close to it's due date again but the strange thing is that the thought of doing an assessment makes me put off doing it more and more. It has always been like this since I could ever remember it's not so much that I don't like what I am currently doing and are totally disinterested in it it's more to the point that it comes down to laziness and my lack of will to change. Something strange happens closer to the deadline of things it's as though I'm some kind of saddist that takes pleasure from knowing that I left things to the last moment and everything else doesn't matter again till I complete the task like a crack addict the last few hours are my drug of choice.

Delicious

Delicious is a site that is a concise website that you can save you bookmarks in one account allowing you access your bookmarks where ever there is an internet connection.

Flickr

What i think about Flickr, Flickr is an excellent gateway for new and old photographers to upload their photos with out having to worry about crappy representation of the photo's due to site compression.
